WEST CHESTER, Ohio — An Ohio homeowner wounded a man who broke into his residence early Saturday, police said.
According to the West Chester Police Department, officers responded to a call about an attempted break-in at about 4 a.m. EDT, WCPO-TV reported.
Police said the man began assaulting the homeowners, dragging one of them outside, according to WLWT-TV.

At that point, the other homeowner shot the intruder, WXIX-TV reported.
According to the West Chester public information officer Barb Wilson, the homeowners and the intruder knew one another.
Wilson added that one of the homeowners and the man accused of the home invasion were taken to an area hospital and treated for lacerations, according to WXIX.
Their conditions are unknown, she said.
