Pine-Richland to name Seneca Valley assistant coach as new head football coach, source says

PITTSBURGH — On Wednesday, Pine-Richland High School is expected to announce Stephen Campos as their new head football coach.

A reliable source tells Channel 11′s Jillian Hartmann, Campos will be the recommended candidate to go before the school board during a special meeting.

Campos has been the quarterback’s coach at Seneca Valley High School for the last seven years. He has also coached football at several colleges such as Washington and Jefferson, Robert Morris, and Bethany College in West Virginia.

Once hired, Campos will replace Eric Kasperowicz, whose contract was not renewed following what the district called a months-long investigation into allegations of misconduct within the school’s football program.

As for Campos, he has a long history of coaching football in Western Pennsylvania and the Ohio Valley.

Channel 11 will be at the meeting on Wednesday and will update this story with any developments.
