Pirate Parrot voted 17th in rankings of best, worst MLB mascots

PITTSBURGH — He’s one of the symbols of our city, but how well do baseball fans in other cities know the Pirate Parrot?

A survey from Play USA had the Pirates mascot ranked 17th out of 27 in a list of the best and worst Major League Baseball mascots.

The Chicago Cubs’ mascot Clark the Cub took the top spot followed by PAWS with the Detroit Tigers and Dinger with the Colorado Rockies.

Slider from the Cleveland Indians was voted the worst.
