Fallingwater house tours to reopen in May

FAYETTE COUNTY, Pa. — Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater will reopen interior house tours on May 1, 2021.

The new Guided Architectural Tour will allow visitors to experience Fallingwater’s main floor, guest house and exterior spaces, as well as the landscape that inspired its design.

Director Justin Gunther explained that the new tour “offers fresh perspectives on Wright’s masterpiece of organic architecture as visitors explore how Fallingwater seamlessly integrates into nature, both from the outside of the house and the inside.”

Advance tickets are required, and tours are scheduled ahead of time due to COVID-19 size limitations. Tours are offered daily except on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The house was designed by Wright in 1935 and was built over a waterfall.
