BNY Mellon pushes back return to office plans amid Covid concerns

PITTSBURGH — BNY Mellon employees won’t be going back to the office next month.

The New York-based financial giant, which is among Pittsburgh’s largest banks and employers, confirmed on Wednesday that it has pushed the date back.

BNY Mellon provided the following email statement:

“Our top priority remains the health and safety of our employees and our clients. With this in mind, we have decided to delay our September return-to-office plans based on recent pandemic-related developments and evolving guidance from the medical community. We are closely monitoring the progress of the pandemic and have committed to provide employees with at least 30 days’ notice on our eventual return date. We look forward to welcoming more employees back to our offices when conditions permit.”
