PITTSBURGH — The House passed a $1.9 trillion Covid-19 relief bill Wednesday on a party-line vote that means another round of direct checks to hundreds of millions of Americans, paving the way for President Joe Biden’s signature.
The bill, which includes $1,400 checks for individuals and an expanded child tax credit, also includes funding for state and local governments, Covid-19 vaccination efforts and a slew of other issues. The Senate passed its own altered version on Saturday.
