PITTSBURGH — There's still no sign yet of when the Pittsburgh Pirates will be playing again at PNC Park amid the pandemic shutdown of Major League Baseball and other organized sports.

But that hasn't kept a new Pirates-inspired restaurant from opening near the ballpark.

North Shore Tavern opened this past weekend at 140 Federal Street, the former home of Local Brewhouse, yet another AMPD Group restaurant that’s closed permanently, joined by the group’s three Steel Cactus locations.
