SEWICKLEY, Pa. — Reece Duncan has been eyeing the vacated service station at 590 Beaver Street in Sewickley since he and his family first moved to town.
“This space has been calling our name since we moved here eight years ago,” he said.
Now, with the Slippery Mermaid Sushi Bar a Sewickley staple, Duncan and his family have bought the former service station and are working to convert it into a new craft brewery expected to also host a collection of food trucks seven days a week.
Duncan is going to call the new venture Taps on Beaver and is working to install a new Spike Nano Brewing System in which to make the beer, with plans to open in June.
