Washington County Chamber of Commerce to host virtual career expo

WASHINGTON, Pa. — The Washington County Chamber of Commerce, along with several local partners, announced it will host a virtual career expo via Zoom for potential job seekers on Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The virtual expo is designed to help those who have been laid off due to the Covid-19 pandemic as well as provide a resource for local high school seniors who are unable to participate in traditional career fairs due to Covid-19. Penn Commercial will also present information on local trade school programs and career opportunities as part of the expo.

“This will allow our county’s job seekers and our high school seniors to learn about trade school programs and trade career opportunities that exist in our region,” Lisa Neil, president of Southwest Training Services Inc., and PA CareerLink Washington County, said in a release announcing the expo.
