PITTSBURGH — Police said a man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Mt. Oliver neighborhood last week.
Kyreese Thomas, 19, was arrested at his home and charged with persons not to possess a firearm and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure.

Police said on Feb. 26, the Mt. Oliver Police Department received a 911 call to the 100 block of Ornsby Avenue for a shooting shortly after noon. Officers found several shell casings belonging to three different calibers of guns. A nearby home had also been shot up.
A short time later, police said a victim arrived at Mercy Hospital with a single gunshot wound.
During a search of Thomas’ home, detectives found two handguns, one of which was reported stolen, along with a brick of heroin.
