PITTSBURGH — Don’t expect Bill Fuller to spend too much time worrying about the current state of downtown and its various challenges as the Central Business District works to rebound from the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The rumors of downtown’s death are greatly exaggerated … to rob Mark Twain,” said Fuller, president and corporate chef of Big Burrito Restaurant Group.
In fact, Fuller’s firm inked a lease to take the former Molinaro space in Market Square, an 8,100-square-foot restaurant within PPG Place, that was announced in February 2022.
The restaurant slated for the space, Alta Via, a fine-dining restaurant focused on northern Italian cuisine, is expected to open toward the end of the month, reports Fuller, who said the tentative opening date is Oct. 26, a Thursday.
