Executive director of Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh to step down

The executive director of the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, Greg Flisram, is stepping down from his post. The decision was confirmed by the URA via email.

“This is something he’s been thinking about for the last few months and (he) has decided to return to the private sector,” Tanika Harris, a spokesperson for the URA, said. She said that Flisram’s last day at the organization will be Dec. 30, 2022.

Flisram was first named executive director of the URA in Nov. 2019. He came to Pittsburgh after serving as interim president and CEO of the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City. He had also previously worked in development in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and in the private sector in Milwaukee and Grand Rapids, Michigan, Newport Beach, California and Sugarland, Texas.
