ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Channel 11 was on scene during rush hour at one of the busiest intersections in the North Hills — McKnight and Babcock.
Police and patrol vehicles blocked a car, and officers took five teenagers into custody.
Word of the chase has spread around The Block Northway shopping plaza off McKnight Road.
“Most of them are in the city somewhere. You don’t hear too much around this area, which is good,” Pat Dosch told Channel 11.
Dispatchers and officers tracked every turn the car made through the North Hills.
We listened in on police radio calls, where dispatchers said, “They’re coming up Ferguson by Bellisario’s. They’re gonna try to stop it, and it’s likely going to flee from them.”
And that’s what happened, according to police, when it got to McKnight.
The McCandless Police Chief told Channel 11 that before coming to a stop, the car crashed into one of his officers’ cars. The officer wasn’t hurt.
