PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Police are investigating after a man was stabbed Downtown during the overnight hours.
The incident happened at around 12:45 a.m. Monday on Sixth Avenue at Coffey Way in the Central Business District.
When police arrived on scene, they found a man who was stabbed once in the chest. Officers rendered aid before medics arrived.
The victim was conscious, alert and speaking with officers and medics before he was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
According to public safety officials, the victim told officers he was involved in a fight with another man before the stabbing. Police eventually found and took that man into custody.
Police said charges will be filed.
