PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins will be distributing Thanksgiving meals to local families.
Distribution day will be on Nov. 22 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Mazeroski Way cul-de-sac in Pittsburgh’s North Shore.
Giant Eagle and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will team up with the three organizations for the event. This is the second consecutive year the event has been held.

The goal is to provide up to 300 families with Thanksgiving Day food, including turkey, apple pie and necessary dry foods. $15 Giant Eagle gift cards will also be shared.
Families can register for the event on the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank website.
