PITTSBURGH — A North Side home is going big for Halloween with a life-size candy display that’s ready to wow trick-or-treaters.
Sara Rose created the colorful decorations for her home in the Mexican War Streets neighborhood.
She started building the pieces back in July using only recycled materials.
Rose says it’s her way of creating a little Halloween magic and a big memory for everyone in the neighborhood.
“That’s what the kids do in this neighborhood. They come by, they’re excited to see the candy, they’re taking selfies on the stoop, and I just wanted to make the Northside brighter and happier,” Rose said.
Rose also created a backyard carnival display for Halloween to give them something special to remember.
