Man taken by medical helicopter to area hospital after shot multiple times

MCKEESPORT, Pa. — A man suffered “multiple gunshot wounds” to his legs and lower torso and was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment, according to Allegheny County Police.

Officers said just after 2 a.m., McKeesport Police were called to the 1400 block of Maple Street for a reported shooting. When they arrived, the found a 29-year-old man who had been shot. He was listed in critical condition when he was taken for treatment.

Police said the victim was with other people he knew when someone they were not familiar with started shooting. A nearby car was also shot up.

Investigators said they are still looking to identify a motive and suspects.
