MCCANDLESS — The next time you turn on HBO you may recognize a familiar face. That’s because McCandless native Griffin Matthews is starring in a new comedic mystery-thriller “The Flight Attendant.”
In the new series, also starring Kaley Cuoco, Matthews plays Shane, a man who gets caught up in a murder mystery involving a first-class passenger.
Matthews is a graduate of North Allegheny Senior High School and went onto study musical theater at Carnegie Mellon University, according to our news partners at TribLIVE.com.

Since then he’s worked in theater and television before landing his first regular role in a series.
This is Matthews’ first series regular role that has made it to air.
