Parent company of Gordman’s stores files for bankruptcy

The parent company for Gordman’s stores is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Gordman’s has stores in Rostraver, Leechburg, Mt. Pleasant, Ellwood City and New Castle.

In a letter to customers, the CEO said they cannot afford to operate as an independent business since COVID-19 has shut them down.

The company is searching for a buyer and plans to reopen before liquidating its stores starting Friday.
