Still hoping to get your hands on a Popeyes chicken sandwich? You'll have to wait, because the fast-food chain has sold out of its inventory of the entree.
The restaurant announced the news on Twitter with a video that recapped all the attention its latest menu item has received recently.
The upload shows clips of people taking bites out of the sandwich and others standing in long lines just to get it. It also includes images of "sold out" signs posted at various locations.
Y’all. We love that you love The Sandwich. Unfortunately we’re sold out (for now). pic.twitter.com/Askp7aH5Rr

Although the company is all out of chicken sandwiches, it said the meal will soon be back on the menu “for good.”
Popeyes stores across the country have been busier than usual since launching the sandwich on Aug. 12. The brand even sparked a debate online over which fast food spot served the best chicken sandwich.
Although Wendy’s, Bojangles and Shake Shack all entered the battle, the main competition seemed to be between Popeyes and Chick-fil-A.
There is no word on when the Popeyes chicken sandwich will be available again, but the company said it's working with its suppliers to bring it back as soon as possible.
