Kyu San Juan, 5, of Green Bay, was scheduled for surgery Thursday but had one request before checking into Children's Hospital of Wisconsin: an impromptu dance at a grocery store, WBAY reported.

"We all were getting ready for bed," Kyu's mother, Rasami Moua told "Inside Edition." "And then Kyu said he wanted to go dancing."

Grandpa: Okay. *Grandpa changed out of his PJ* *Kyu stayed in his PJ* *DRIVES TO LOCATION* *Pulls up to Festival Foods* Grandpa: Do you guys need to buy something? Kyu: No grandpa, we dance here in the groceries store. Grandpa: Here? People are going to think we're crazy! Kyu: People? What people? Grandpa: I thought we were going to a party or a club. *ME laughing hysterically* Kyu: Grandpa, Use your imagination. You can dance anywhere! 🤣 Thanks dad for being such a good sport for Kyu and giving him all of your time before his surgery tomorrow. Kyu was born with arteriovenous malformation, or AVM, which is described as "a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain,"according to Yahoo!

Doctors discovered the boy had AVM after he suffered rupture in 2017 caused a seizure, HuffPost reported. Kyu required surgery in 2018, but the abnormal vessels grew back and the boy required more surgery, according to a Facebook fundraising page.

According to Moua's Facebook post, she bundled her son into the car and took the boy's grandfather, Txhiaj Sawm Muas. Grandpa was confused when Kyu told him they were going to dance at the Festival Foods grocery store in Green Bay,

"Here? People are going to think we're crazy," Muas said. "I thought we were going to a party or a club."

In Moua's Facebook post, Kyu said, "Grandpa, (use) your imagination. You can dance anywhere!"

And that's what they did, showing some wicked moves on the polished floor in the frozen foods aisle.

The surgery went well, and Kyu was released from the hospital Friday, Moua said in another Facebook post.

"He's recovering so well, taking his walks through the halls with his nurse like a champion being so full of energy that the doctors don't see why he can't go home to finish recovering in the comfort of his own bed," Moua wrote.
