Gabriel Iglesias spends $100K to throw quinceañera for his chihuahua

A quinceañera is a special event for 15-year-old girls of Hispanic heritage. So, the Fluffy Guy decided to go all out for his girl -- a pet chihuahua.

Comedian Gabriel Iglesias decided to throw a lavish quinceañera for his furry friend, spending $100,000 on Risa, his 4-pound pup, “Today” reported. Iglesias, 46, threw the big bash on Nov. 12 and shared video of the event on his Instagram account.

“Party of the year all for my little princess,” Iglesias wrote. “Risa has given me so many years of happiness. I just wanted to celebrate her. I even wore pants.”

In the video, Iglesias can be seen wheeling the pampered pooch in a baby carriage as music played.

Although the celebration is generally for 15-year-olds, Iglesias told “Today” that Risa is “between 16 and 17″ years old.

The comedian said he was inspired after watching a video of a man throwing his dog a quinceañera.

“No way he loves his dog more than I love my dog,” Iglesias told “Today.” Challenge accepted.”

“I’ve had dogs since I was a kid and Risa was the only girl dog I’ve ever had,” Iglesias told “Today” on Thursday. “Since I’ve had her, from day one, she’s always been in my hoodie. She’s always been in my jacket. We’re very close.”

Iglesias’ director of operations, Marybel, designed and created Risa’s three changes of costume for the event, People reported.

In her floral ensemble, Risa posed for photographs with Vinnie, her 11-year-old brother, and their friend Benny, according to the magazine.

The two males wore gray suits and pink bowties.

There was plenty of entertainment, too.

The the party included a band, disc jockey, dancers and Christian and Scooby, a man-and-dog-duo previously seen on “America’s Got Talent,” “Today” reported.

Iglesias spared no expense and made no apologies for the cost of the party.

“I went full blown and people say, ‘Oh, you wasted money,’ but it’s like, no,” Iglesias told “Today.” “I’m celebrating something that means the world to me.

“I’m not setting money on fire every day. But this particular night, yes. So I spared no expense. It was a very expensive night, but very memorable.”
