Penguins will face Bruins for 2023 NHL Winter Classic at Fenway Park

PITTSBURGH — It’s official! The Pittsburgh Penguins will take on the Bruins at the 2023 NHL Winter Classic at Fenway Park.

Weekes said the Winter Classic will be on Jan 2.

The Penguins have had two appearances in the Winter Classic.

In 2008, the Penguins played against the Buffalo Sabres at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Pens won 2-1.

In 2011, the Penguins hosted the Washington Capitals at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. The Penguins lost 3-1. Sidney Crosby’s history with head injuries and concussions started during this game
