Patchy fog expected Friday morning, sunshine returns throughout afternoon

PITTSBURGH — Patchy fog will develop before sunrise again early Friday, but it won’t be as widespread or dense. Fog will mainly form near rivers and valleys then lift out by mid-morning.

Plenty of sunshine returns through the day, but smoke from western wildfires will keep a hazy, milky look to the skies, but right now no air quality impacts are expected.

The weekend will be dry and warmer, but Severe Weather Team 11 is tracking a system moving in Monday that could bring thunderstorms. The ingredients for a few strong to severe storms with damaging winds is possible, so check the forecast often and have a way to stay weather aware.
