Boil water advisory lifted in Butler County

BUTLER COUNTY — A boil water advisory in place for parts of Butler County has been lifted.

The advisory was put in place Dec. 8 after a water main break.

Around 900 customers were affected including, residents from the City of Butler, Butler Township and Center Township.

Pennsylvania American Water said acceptable test results were taken on Dec. 9 and 10.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has approved the lifting of the advisory.
