Students at the Community College of Allegheny County returned to class today for the fall semester, coinciding with the college’s 60th anniversary celebrations and an enrollment boost.
As it enters its 233rd semester, CCAC announced it has a student headcount of 9,656, representing a 3.98% increase, which includes 7,151 returning students and 2,505 new students.
The college’s FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) is currently 7,243, representing an increase of 2.78%. College officials say they are still expecting more new and returning students in the coming days as alternative start-date courses begin.
