Inclement weather forces Steelers to leave St. Vincent College early

Steelers Training Camp Practice

LATROBE, Pa. — With inclement weather expected again on Monday, the Steelers decided to break training camp at St. Vincent College in Latrobe.

Weather was a major storyline throughout camp, repeatedly shutting down practices to fans and forcing the Steelers indoors.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy said it’s disappointing to be leaving Latrobe since he feels it’s such a great environment to train in. He added that he recognizes it’s also been a disappointing situation for fans.

McCarthy says he’s already looking forward to coming back next year and is already thinking about changes he wants to make for next training camp.

The Steelers’ next practice is on Wednesday in the South Side.
