PITTSBURGH — Guests could visit Pitt’s Cathedral of Learning to learn more about holiday celebrations happening around the world during the university’s open house.
All of the building’s nationality rooms were open and featured different holiday decorations.
People could learn about various holiday traditions in each of the available rooms.
This was the first time in three years the event was open to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Committees for each nationality room were on the floor. They met with guests and sold various treats and souvenirs.
“From young guides who are undergraduates to older committee members who have been on their committee for decades, this is a celebration of all of that today,” said Michael Walter, a tour coordinator.
The open house also included musical performances from different nationalities.
