Charges were filed this week against a 14-year Pennsylvania State Police veteran accused of having thousands of pornographic files on his work computer.

The charges against Stephen Kamnik, 38, a corporal within Troop K in Schwenksville, Montgomery County, were filed on Jan. 8 and announced the next day by Pa. Attorney General Michelle Henry.

NBC News affiliate WCAU reports that Henry’s office claims investigators found thousands of pornographic files on Kamnik’s workstation. Some of the files on a hard drive were reportedly “deepfakes,” or pornography produced using software to create artificial images and videos using a person’s images or videos.

WCAU reports that Kamnik, who has been a trooper since 2011, is currently suspended without pay.

Kamnik was arraigned on felony unauthorized use of a computer and misdemeanor misapplication of entrusted property on Jan. 8. He’s due back in court in February.
