Visitor spending keeps increasing in Butler County.

According to the Economic Impact of Pennsylvania’s Travel and Tourism Industry Report, visitor spending in Butler County reached $793.6 million in 2025.

That’s an increase of more than $25 million over the previous year. It’s also the fifth consecutive year of visitor spending growth in the county.

“This report reflects the tremendous and consistent growth our county is seeing,” Amy Pack said, the president of Experience Butler County. “Every year we welcome new and expanding tourism businesses, elevating Butler County as a premier destination for our state.”

In Butler County, the report recorded growth across all five major spending categories: Transportation ($222.9 million), food and beverage ($189.2 million), recreation ($163.4 million), retail spending ($136.5 million) and lodging ( $81.5 million).

This report highlights the broader economic role of travel and tourism across Pennsylvania and found that visitor spending supported one in 16 jobs statewide in 2025, driving regional employment and personal income growth.
