Taylor Russey told KMOV that she sometimes receives tips in the form of lottery tickets from a regular customer at Bleacher's Bar where she works as a bartender.
On Oct. 19, the customer distributed Powerball tickets to the regulars at the bar, including Russey, KMOV reported.
The next day, Russey noticed that a winning ticket had been purchased at the bar's location, the Missouri Lottery said in a news release. Russey scanned her ticket at the bar's lottery terminal and discovered that she was holding the winning ticket worth $50,000.
The ticket's numbers matched four of the five white-ball numbers drawn on Oct. 19, plus the Powerball, the Missouri Lottery said.
