Rain developing by Friday night, will change to snow Saturday

PITTSBURGH — You won’t need the sunglasses most of the day Friday, but have the umbrella handy just in case.

Most of your Friday will be dry, but a spotty shower will develop in a few spots during the day. Rain will become more widespread Friday night with several hours of a steady, light rain possible overnight and into Saturday morning. Colder air in the higher elevations may create some icy conditions. So check our forecast before you head east.

It will be wet Saturday, with periods of steady rain making it difficult to juggle the umbrella and holiday gifts as you dart to your car. Rain will change to snow during the afternoon and some icy conditions are possible by early Saturday evening.

On and off snow showers will continue Saturday night and into Sunday.
