The steadiest rain arrives mid-morning and lasts into the early afternoon, when brief downpours will be possible.
A storm with stronger winds is also possible— especially south of Pittsburgh.
A stronger system moves in Friday, and it will be a big game changer for weekend weather. Rain and wind develop Friday ahead of a sharp cold front, then temperatures will quickly fall behind it.
Frost and freeze conditions are possible this weekend as much colder air pours into the region. The coldest morning looks to be Sunday, when wind chills may dip into the 20s.
