Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a lot riding on the team’s Week 18 game against the Baltimore Ravens — which he has admitted might be the last one of his career if the Steelers lose — but he also has a significant amount of money riding on the outcome, as well.
Rodgers is one of the few Steelers players to have contract incentives, and the first one on his list is a big one. All but one of Rodgers’ incentives are team-based, and the first of the bunch is a $500,000 incentive for the Steelers making the playoffs.
With Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens a winner-take-all affair for the AFC North title, Rodgers will pocket a cool half a million if he leads his team to victory.
Rodgers has further incentives, most of them tied to the team’s success in the postseason. He’ll earn another $600,000 if the Steelers win in the Wild Card Round, $750,000 in the Divisional Playoff, $1 million in the AFC Championship Game, and $1.5 million if they somehow were to win Super Bowl LX.
