Local cat rescue searching for person who tightly wrapped rubber band around abandoned kitten’s leg

BRACKENRIDGE, Pa. — A local cat rescue is looking for the person who tightly wrapped a rubber band around an abandoned kitten’s leg.

According to Frankie’s Friends Cat Rescue on Facebook, Vic was found by a police officer in Brackenridge in terrible pain.

The rubber band around Vic’s leg was causing poor circulation, pain and an infection.

“We feel this was an intentional act of cruelty and harm,” the rescue said.

The rescue removed the band, treated Vic’s wound, and gave Vic some love, although they said he’s not out of the water yet and they’re still trying to save his leg.

The rescue said donations to the shelter will help with Vic’s needs and others in the rescue.

The post also said that a grant sponsor will match donations up to $10,000.
