PITTSBURGH — A man whom police say skipped his sentencing for gun charges is back in custody.
A spokesperson for the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office said Matthew White, 27, of McKeesport, was arrested at a house on Penfort Street on the North Side on Monday.
White was scheduled to be sentenced for gun charges on Sept. 2, but police say he never showed up. This resulted in a bench warrant being issued for his arrest.
Sheriff’s office detectives received intel from Pittsburgh Police on Monday telling them White was at the house.
Authorities surrounded the home and took White into custody after he surrendered.
White is now being held at the Allegheny County Jail.
