BUFFALO — Another Pittsburgh Penguin has made history this season.

Penguins goalie Alex Nedeljkovic became the first goalie in NHL history to score a goal and record an assist in a single game in Friday’s 5-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres.

The goalie scored on the empty net at the end of the third period. He recorded an assist on Cody Glass’s power play goal in the second period.

Nedeljkovic entered the 2024-2025 season as the only goaltender in AHL history to score two career goals, with the second coming last season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
