NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A person was killed in a head-on car crash in Washington County on Wednesday morning.
According to the Washington County Office of the Coroner, the crash happened near the intersection of Thomas Road and Springdale Road in North Strabane Township at around 8:46 p.m.
Officials said the victim was driving south on Thomas Road and collided with a car heading north near the intersection.
The victim was taken to Canonsburg Hospital and was pronounced dead around 45 minutes after the crash.
Officials said the victim wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
There’s currently no word on who the victim is or the condition of the other driver.
The victim was assisted at the scene by Ambulance and Chair Emergency Medical Services; the North Strabane and Peters township fire departments, and the Pennsylvania State Police accident reconstruction unit.
The crash is under investigation.
