Primanti Bros. giving out free beer Wednesday after being named ‘Coolest Thing Made in Pennsylvania’

PITTSBURGH — Primanti Bros. restaurant was named “Coolest Thing Made in Pennsylvania” after an online vote sponsored by the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, and the chain is celebrating by giving customers free beer.

On Wednesday, free beer will be available at all Primanti Bros. locations in Pennsylvania.

Customers are limited to one free 12 oz. domestic bottle while supplies last.

“We’ve known Primanti Bros. was the coolest thing in Pennsylvania since about 1933, but we’re glad everyone else is coming around, too,” said Adam Golomb, CEO. “Oh – and we figured, what better way to celebrate than collectively raising a free beer together across the commonwealth.”

The restaurant chain beat Mrs. T’s Pierogies in the championship, securing 53% of the vote.
