Second round of weekend thunderstorms hits Pittsburgh area

PITTSBURGH — For the second time in two days, the Pittsburgh area was hit by severe thunderstorms.

8:50 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Westmoreland and Venango counties.

8:40 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Allegheny, Fayette, Indiana and Westmoreland counties. The warning is expected to last until at least 9:30 p.m.

8:25 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler and Westmoreland counties.

8:08 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Allegheny, Butler, Lawrence and Westmoreland counties. The warning is expected to last until at least 8:45 p.m.

7:30 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Allegheny, Fayette, Westmoreland and Washington counties. The warning is expected to last until at least 7:45 p.m.

7:15 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Allegheny, Beaver and Washington counties.

6:30 p.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for parts of Greene County. The warning is expected to last until at least 7 p.m.

4:00 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for most local counties. The warning is expected to last until at least 10 p.m.

Another round of strong to severe storms is possible tonight between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Damaging winds, heavy downpours, frequent lightning, hail and isolated tornadoes are possible.
