MONROEVILLE, Pa. — Family and friends came together to remember a mother killed in Penn Hills.

A celebration of life was held for Jinx Hairston in Monroeville on Friday night.
On May 7, police say, she was stabbed to death as part of a crime spree.
Police say the suspect, George Mitchell, is the father of Jinx’s three kids, but the two had not been in a relationship for more than a decade.
We spoke with her daughter’s cheer coach, who came out with the team to show their support.
“It means so much to be surrounded by love and support. It really makes tough times like this easier to get through, so having all her friends, all her coaches here, it means a lot,” Coach Chaneeka Morris said.
A GoFundMe has been set up to benefit her children.
